you definatly need to see some kind of doctor, a clinic should be free or at a low cost, if you bleed for long periods of time your hemoglobin level will drop and you can become anemic, in the mean time start taking vitamins with iron (most women suppliments have high levels of iron)
good luck
Maybe you should try a clinic or something. I remember being in a similar situation when I was young without insurance and having what turned out to be a misscarraige. I was able to get treatment I think it was at a sliding scale clinic or something. I would research that. You need to see a doc. It could be many different things.
Good luck to you, there is always help out there if you need it, you just need to seek it out.
Yes, there is a chance you have PCOS. I just recently came across with too, and that was the reason why my periods were so heavy. In march i bled for 20 days and April I was bleeding from April 15-May 5. Finally my doc said this is what you have, i have been to sevral different doctors and just recently the one i went to on May 7th, finally said I have PCOS. He gave me pills to stop my bleeding, and I havent been bleeding since May 8 now. I start BC pills when I start my next period. I am also however overweight too...
I have recently been diagnosed with PCOS and yes it can effect your period this way, usually it keeps you from having them but can do like you are now. Trying natural remedies helps, I know it takes money but our health is priceless. Change your diet, excercise, and take lots of vitamins. You could try a progesterone cream...Look up Dr.Lee about PCOS..Good luck to you.
