Not BV, maybe an infection?

Went to the doc today, she said it probably wasn't BV, and she didn't notice any odor.  Am I going nuts? lol I know my own smell, and it is not like that!  But basically she said she doesn't think it's BV after doing the microscope test, and is testing me for STD's again, but she seems to think it may be just some kind of general infection...has anyone experienced anything like that? Like a no-name infection that just went away with meds? weird I was also thinking about maybe doing the new pantiliner test for BV, just to see what it says. Has anyone used that? http://www.fem-v.com/ is the website...very interesting

So glad that I found this post.  I have been having the same problems, odor and discharge.  I have told my doctor about it, and she has tested for STD's but everything came out negative. I know that my odor has changed and I want to know why!  My discharge is yellow which usually indicates infection but my doctor said that I don't have one.  I have come to find out that not all doctors know what they are talking about and don't listen when patients tell them something has changed.  I will just figure it out myself.  She said that I am imflammed down there and has prescribed me Amino-Cerv (have false hopes of it working).

P.S.- I have had this for about 2 months

Thank you for posting that site! That is awesome that they have something like that. I get a "fishy" odor sometimes and went in once only to be told it was nothing. HOW could it be nothing? I know when the odor changes! So anyhow...thanks! I will see if I can find it around here.

Hi, I know what you mean.  For me it depends what type of panties I wear and somedays it seems as if the discharge is outrageous.  I have been to my gyno and its nothing, not BV or anything.  But it does annoy me seeing the changes of my vaginal discharge depending on the type of panties I wear. I remember one day wearing tights and the odor I was producing down there was really strong and my discharge was of some concern.  I was able to see doc next day only to be told there was nothing wrong, everything was normal.  So to test it out, I waited about a week or so and wore tights again and same thing happen, bad odor and vaginal discharge.  So I don't wear tights anymore for that reason.  And just for everyone to know, they were only tight in my leg area, around my crotch area they were very loose.  Thanks for listing the website for the Fem-V.  I will definitely have to go to Rite Aid to see what that is all about.
