That is not normal.  You should be going everyday or every other day.  I have problems going sometimes to.  Are you taking any medicines with a lot of iron in it?  Sometimes iron constipates you.  I would try adding more veggies (greens) and fruits to your diet.  This will help.  Also, try metamucil or something like prune juice to regulate you.

A (female) friend of mine had this same problem....was ongoing for years and her doctors wouldn't do anything. At first she would only go maybe once every other week....then it almost totally stopped. The doctors just said "you're inflamed"  or "eat more fiber".  Well that never helped and it was getting so painfull she could bearly eat.

What she ended up doing is she went to see a holistic therapist (not sure what technical title is).  She underwent a series of "cleansings" along with some herbal medications.  She's pooping regularly now and feels like a new woman.  She sid that the thrapist said that she is most likely allergic to wheat or something similar and it was causing plaque to buld up in her intestines.

I was on alot of pain meds (which causes constipation) after a car accdient and my nurse gave me the best solution, tablespoon of milk of magnesia and a tablespoon of prune juice warmed (only a few seconds)in the microwave (doesn't taste good but look out) I guess the heat works up the good stuff in the prunes lol Happy drinking.

I agree to the veggies and fruits.  That sure would help.
