Not sure if I still have a tampon in

Last night I feel like I put one in, but I'm not 100% sure if I actually did. But now if I did, I can't find the string. I went up there to see if I could find in but I can't. I want to think that I just didn't put one in, but I'm quite worried. I don't really have anyone at home to 'check it out' for me. What should I do?

you can always call dr and they can do an exam or if you cant feel it after checking yourself than just assume it isnt in there. i did that and it eventually disinergrates but you dont want to assume that because tampons are toxic

I would call you doctor and ask them what to do. Probably best to get it checked just in case. Tampons left in longer than they should puts you at risk of toxic shock syndrome, which in some cases can be fatal. A tampon has no where to go when it;s in there so if you can't feel string or anything else, then there might not be anything there, but better to get it checked in case.
