Hi, I have just read your question and wanted to put your mind at rest, I had an ovarian cyst about 6 years ago that hemoraged, and had surgery to remove it. I now have a healthy 2 year old son and my pregnancy was very easy and birth was good. So you should not have any problems conceiving when you are ready.
By no means am I implying that you have any cancer but you may want to check out the Ovarian Cancer forum about cysts. LOTS of information and people in your shoes ( I have posted a lot as well) Good luck!
thankyou nina for shating your info with me. I just didnt have anything to go on. Im really getting tired of waiting to find out whats wrong. i guess im just worried.
I was just diagnosed with a complex ovarian cyst in june due to uncomfortable intercourse. Just had my 3rd follow-up ultra sound and it is completely gone. I also suffered from abdominal pain that would shoot down my thigh. I guess they are pretty common amoung those in their reproductive years.

i feel so much better thankyou. One thing for sure is that im never having an abortion ever again. One big problem was not knowing, everyone should always research things before they do it.
I was 23 when I was diagnosed with cysts and my sister was a teenager. It is not an uncommon occurance and many women that are quite young have them and go on to have very normal pregnancies. They usually do not cause any problems when ttc.
YES, IM GOING BACK ON SATURDAY FOR THE SONOGRAM, BUT ARE CYSTS BAD? CAN I STILL HAVE CHILDREN LATER ON, HOW IS A CYST GOING TO INTERFERE WITH MY REPRODUCTION?! IM SO CONFUSED? IM ONLY 20 HOW CAN THAT HAPPEN TO SOMEONE AS YOUNG AS ME? DOES ANYONE KNOW OF SOMEONE MY AGE WHO HAS CYSTS? IM SORRY FOR ALL THE QUESTIONS BUT IM IN TEARS. IM SO SCARED I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO OR THINK!
I doubt the abortion had much to do with your current situation now.
Bladder infections are not uncommon, and cysts are also a common cause of pain during intercourse. If the pain persists after your infection has been treated, go back to your doctor or seek out another opinion if you feel your doctor isn't being helpful.
Sometimes the cause of pain during sex is difficult to discern.
