On birth control for over 1 tr. and now want to get pregnant

I have been on birth control for 1 year and 8 months. I had an abortion and thats when i was put on the BC (birth control). Shortly afterwards i started forgetting to take my pills and started bleeding incontrollably. My GYN put me on the 3-2-1 method, taking 3 pills a day for one week, the next week 2 pills a day and finally 1 daily. It went under control. Now if i forget to take a pill i start bleeding immediately.

I have now started thinking i want to have a baby. But i am not sure how to stop the BC's because i dont want to start bleeding. Any suggestions?

Since you've had problems with coming off BCPs then this is probably something you need to talk to your Dr about.  They can tell you the safest way to stop.

Every time I would miss a pill (or take it late) I would bleed for two or three weeks.  Now, I'm trying to get pregnant and was a little concerned like yourself. After my period, I simply didn't get back on my pills and I havent had a problem yet....no bleeding!  Its been almost a month so far.  I hope that helps.
