On the Pill -- but MISSED PERIOD!

I have been on and off birth control for about ten years.  I am currently going on my 4th month of Lutera after about a year of not being on any oral contraceptive.

I take the pill to regulate my period, as I have been diagnosed with PCOS and admit, I do not always take it at the same time, I skip days and then have to double up and I am sexually active (condoms are used).

Today I started a new pack with my first active pill (yesterday finished the last of my reminder pills) and still have not had a period.  I read that skipping a period is not uncommon but took a pregnancy test this afternoon -- very faint negative result.

I am worried since I am on the pill in th4e first place to regualte my period.  Should I switch to a higher dosage? What does this mean?

You should call your doctor and ask what to do next.  Sometimes you need a different dosage or a change in pills.  Also, you said you got a faint negative.  Did you mean a faint positive?

If you got a faint pos or aren't sure, you definately need to see your doctor to figure it out.
