On the pill for 3 months now but bleeding doesnt stop

Hi all,
I started taking Yasmin last Aug and bleeding started. My Dr said it's breakthrough bleeding. She changed it to Femenal-a much stronger pill to control the bleeding. She even prescribed Hemostan if still bleeding. The bleeding stopped for a while when I took Hemostan. But when I stopped, i started to have spotting again. but brownish colored. Me and hubby made love a few days ago and spotting became reddish. I'm taking the pill continously for almost 3 months now without the 7 day rest period as per advised by my Dr. What's happening? I was taking the pill before-5 yrs ago but didnt experience this. I already had Endometrial biopsy last Aug this year and everything was normal. My Dr said she's not worried that I have cancer because I just had the biopsy a few months ago. But told me if bleeding doesnt stop, the last resort is to have hysterectomy.  I'm getting scared! Any inputs will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have the same problem with you gals. I was diagnosed with PCOS (polysistic ovaries). My doctor prescribed me to take Duphaston. And on my 9th day of taking it, my mens arrived. I only need to take 10 tablets per cycle. So, on my 1st-4th day of mens, there were big clots or mass of blood coming out. And to date, I still have my period, heavy flow in fact..So, i called my doctor an hour ago and prescribed me to take HEMOSTAN 3x a day for 5 days..hope this will help..

I knowit doesn't help much but I experienced the same thing with 4 different types of pill. In the end I turned to implanon, the thing the doctors put in your arm. I haven't had any periods or break through bleeding, at all, for 12 months now. worth a try :)

Hi!
Thanks for taking time to reply. It's good to know I am not alone. I'll be having my checkup anytime this week. Will let you know what my Dr will tell me. By the way, she told me to take iron tablets since i've been bleeding everyday.
I'll keep in touch. Take care!

Hi
ive posted quite a few times with sort of the same problem. Im 18 .. have been on microgynon for years and all of a sudden for no reason started bleeding.. carried on bleeding for a couple of weeks thinkin maybe its just breakthrough bleeding. but then it got annoying so i went to the docs.. they told me to carry on microgynon for a month and not have the 7-day-break and then go straight onto cilest. been on cilest for two months now and still bleeding. so thats 3 months in total. its stressing me out .. and my doctors dont seem to be doing anything. i hope for your sake that your docs care more than mine.
anything that you find out .. please pass onto me!!
seems that this problem isnt as rare as i thought.
sorry i cant help you .. hope u get it sorted asap!
