One lonely sore

Hello,
I have a silly obsession tonight...I have been married for 7 years and I have had two children and we had our blood tests to be married, and I could have sworn I asked for a full scan of STD's.  Anyway, I have been having yeast infections off and on around the time I get my period.  Yesterday, I happened to wipe(hope I am not oversharing) and it felt like my skin tore a little...now today in the same area, it looks like I have a sore.  It is oozing bloody fluid.  I also have ingrown hairs on my bikini line, and this is actually near my bikini line-right near the crease of where my leg and pubic area meet.  Not near my lips...I am wondering...if I did have herpes...would I have had an outbreak in 7 years?  The only other time I have had anything like this was a boil and an ingrown hair that got infected...Does this sound ominous?  I don't have health coverage right now, so am not sure if I can get it tested?  I am freaking out right now!  Thanks

Herpes look like a cluster of very tiny blisters, not one lone sore unless all the blisters have busted and you scraped the blistered skin off - they are very painful and you would've noticed them while they were blisters. It does sound more like what 'cmroak' described.

well.. what you're describing does kind of sound like a boil. if it was a boil then along with the blood a little bit of yellow tinged puss would have come out with it.. so it's probably just an infected sweat gland or something. i get those a lot in the summer time and i told my doctor about it last year and i was actually the one who diagnosed it with researching stuff online so she wound up giving me acne meds which worked wonderfully. i know it's not herpes because i just recently had a daughter and while you're prego they do tons of blood tests and all that so they would have told me! but if you're truely that worried then go to planned parenthood and go get a blood test. it shouldn't cost more than $50 if not free.
