Ovary Removed years ago.

Hello,
This is my first time doing anything like this. But I am at my wits end. I had my right ovary removed 3-4 years ago. Ever since my period pain has skyrocketed. The bleeding isn't worse but the pain is horrible. Also the pain is on the side that the ovary was removed. Now I have been told that this is normal and it is called phantom pains. I am 32 with no kids yet. Is what I am going through normal? It's the same kind of pain every month and only during my period. The reason I had to have it removed, the ovary had wrapped itself up within itself causing it to die. How this happened i have no idea. Anyways, do I need to be concerned? I really want to have children.

I am not familiar with your situation I am afraid. I had everything out at once so no periods.. I do have pain the doctor said it is because of the nerves in that area.
