Ovary close to abdominal wall

Has anyone heard of an ovary being too close to the abdominal wall. I had a laparotomy in August to remove a cyst and ended up having my right ovary removed because of severe necrosis from a torsion. I went for a follow-up a few weeks later and they found a small cyst on my left ovary through tvu/s. I was experiencing pain and went again yesterday where an ab u/s was done to check for a hernia in my incision, no hernia but the doc could see my left ovary through my abs. with my small cyst. He was suprised to see it abdominally. Is this okay? Normal? I am worried although the doctor didn't seem to be. I just turned 31 and after my laparotomy lost my baby at 12 weeks as a side effect of the emergency surgery. I plan on trying again and am worried that this "condition" may adversly effect that...anyone? Thank you...

Oh I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I have never heard of a cyst being seen abdominally....... If your dr. is not worried then I would trust him. If not go seek another opinion.I was advised to having a surgery and I am going to get a second opinion............... Were you in much pain after your lap? I am stressing myself out just thinking about a surgery.Anyway I know things will work out.take care.Diane

A small cyst on the ovary is what is happening?  I wouldn't let it worry you if the doctor is not worried.
