PCOS & pain
I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2002.  I have all of the classic symptoms, although I have had two pregnancies.  In the last two months I have been having moderate to sever lower abdominal pain, with spotting off and on.  I has a pelvic ultrasound done, it came back completly normal (I didn't even have any cysts on my ovaries).  I'm looking for some possible causes.  I have had two c-sections.  My last was January 2007, I gave birth to twins that weighed 8lbs 2oz & 8lbs 3oz.  Could the pain be related to this?

For most women this hormonal disorder is caused by insulin resistance and over production of one of the hormones. A low GI diet and daily exercise as well as medication helps to control it.
