PID and Chlamydia

I have been given 4 pills of 500mg Zithromax to treat Chlamydia that was just found. I have probably had this in my body for at least 4 years, as my husband and I have been faithful. My question however is will the prescribed treatment above also treat PID? Since going off the birth control patch about 9 months ago (to become pregnant, which has not happened yet), I just started to get lower abdominal pain, I did not have any pain before that.
So, if I have had this for years, what are the chances of being able to have children? And does the meds given to me treat the PID??
