PID questions

Hi Ladies,
Yesterday I was in SO much pain I couldn't stand it. Even with the pain meds it was still bad. So I went back up to the Dr. and he said that I have PID. I looked it up and it said that it's a STD!! I read that I probably had it BEFORE my D&C. How would I have gotten it?? In Dec. I will have been married for 11 years and we both have only been with each other. How did I get this?? I read that when you first get it there are no symptoms and I obviously have major symptoms because the pain is so bad. And what is this going to do to my fertility? What are the chances that it will make me steril? I want more children...at least one more. How long will it take to get rid of this? I'm so upset that I have an STD and don't know how I got it! and I don't know if I will be ok. How many of you have had this? I really need a lot more info about this.

You may have developed it after the m/c, or you could have had BV before that and didn't know it. BV is often asymptomatic, and if untreated, can lead to PID.

Have any of you ever had this? I'm in so much  pain I don't know how to handle it anymore. The Dr. said after 24 hrs I would start to feel better, but I feel worse.He gave me a stronger pain meds and another for when I have breakthrough pain, but it's not doing anything except make me dizzy and shaky. my husband called and asked if there was anything other pain meds that would help me but they said no, that pretty much everything else would do the same thing to me. I can't function anymore, can't take care of my kids. I'm at my parents house so they are helping me, but I just can't take this pain anymore. I don'tknow what to do. It feels like everything inside of me is being ripped apart. Is this what PID feels like? It's just so horrible. I can't even walk without help anymore. I don't know what to do.
