I have know idea what is happening to me, but i am only a teen, and when i squeezed my breast, brown fluid came out. WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME?????please help. im really worried
I had dark red bleeding from a nipple and it was a mamary duct papiloma, which is a complicated name for a commonCommon cold wart-like structure(s) that grow into the milkBreast milk Breast milk jaundice Lactose intolerance Nipple discharge - abnormal ducts. It is the most commonCommon cold type of growth that develops in young womenWomen's way and even teens. I don't mean to scare you, it is not cancerous, but you do need to let you parents know so that you can go to the dr and find out for sure what it is as this site cannot diagnose you without a dr seeing you. There are a tests that can be done to tell what's going on in there. I had to have outpatient surgery to remove mine, as I had many that were growing large enough to shred the mamary ducts. Good luck to you and keep us informed. tmv
Sorry I can't help you, but give the others some time. It's still REALLY early where some people are. Most everyone is probably not even up yet. Someone will see it. And, IF they know what to tell you, they will respond. If you don't get any responses, you'll know that no one on here knows what to tell you. What about parents? You said you are only a teen, so I'm wondering about speaking with mom?
Just an idea. Hope you get some answers from someone who knows. Good luck!
I have never heard of what you are describing, the only time I had stuff come from my breast was a yellowish fluid, then milkBreast milk Breast milk jaundice Lactose intolerance Nipple discharge - abnormal, when I was pregnant then after...Could it be blood? Are you sure it came from inside your nipple, and maybe not the outside? I really couldn't tell you what the problem is, maybe someone else could be more helpful..BTW, it is only a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys after 9 am here ET, so many members are probably still asleep, (Lucky) and saturdays are kind of slow here, most ppl are out and about..hope everything is OK and you get what you are looking for..Like the other poster said, if there is and Adult women you feel comfortable with, mom, etc, It probably wouldn't hurt to ask them too.
i tried researching this for you, since i myself have not experienced this. i did find several sites, and all indicate that you should see your doctor. here's a blurb from one site- "Nipple Discharge
This is quite a common condition. There are about 14 tiny milk duct openings on each nipple - which can be seen by the use of a powerful magnifying glass. In normal circumstances they are only active during breast feeding. Sometimes, at rest, (i.e. when not breast feeding) they discharge fluid (often green or brown in colour). There are numerous causes of nipple discharge - most of which are quite innocent. Nevertheless, it is essential that you consult a breast specialist for further assessment. Discharge from numerous duct openings on your nipple (usually appearing as several beads of fluid) has almost always an innocent cause, whereas discharge from a single duct, especially if it is blood-stained, is far more significant. A cause of this is a small growth in that duct system. The growth may be innocent but, in all suspected cases, the duct system needs to be removed. This is a small but skilled operation, called a microdochectomy, carried out under general anaesthesia. The scarring produced is minimal & sometimes invisible."
the following link is from a teen health website. you may find that helpful as well. in the case described, it was simply an infection. also, they give you guidelines on how to do breast self exams.

Like i said earlier, chances are it is normal discharge. but you should mention it to an adult and go to a doctor. if there is noone you can talk to and you are an older teen, you can go to a woman's health clinic on your own.
I'm proud of you for having the courage to ask the question and you must be very worried. I've never had this but my strong suggestion is to find a doctor you trust and get the answers - knowing is better than not. Good luck and I'm thinking about you. 1lion
