I had my tubes tied almost 4-1/2 years ago and recently been have pain in my left side where my ovary is at. I went to my dr last week and he did a pap then told me to wait 2 weeks for the results. He also said that I should think about having an Endometrial ablation or hysterectomy done because my periods have not been regular and I've been having heavy bleeding during my cycle. With all of this worry I have now got cold sores or fever blisters on my lips, so I had to go to another dr this week to get something for that. I asked her about what the other dr had said and she said that she has heard of alot of women that have this same problem once they have their tubes tied. I told her I sure do wish I would have known that before I had it done. Hope this helps.
I was told prior to the tubal that my periods may be heavier.
I have not experienced that...only longer 5 days, before they were 3 days! I guess I need to go back to the DR. I DO NOT want a hysterectomy!! It always involves so many tests $$$$.
That is how I've been very heavy and my cycle has been coming every 2 weeks. Also my left ovary has been hurting almost all the time. The dr I went to last week said that he would do a partial hysterectomy(leave my ovaries).
I had my tubes tied almost two years ago. Since then I have heavy periods to the point I have to double up on the pads, plus extreme crampy on the left side a week before and the week of my period. I go to my doctor next month for my yearly and we are so going to talk about it.
