Pain from enlarged tipped uterus

by stoffelmommy, Jun 21, 2007 12:00AM
I am a 24 year old woman that has experienced 3 pregnancies.  My last pregnancy I was a gestational surrogate and successfully delivered twins.  Ever since having the twins 8 months ago, I have experienced lower back pain, which often radiates to the tops of my legs causing severe discomfort.  My doctor has diagnosed me with a "tipped uterus" which is also enlarged.  Blood work, a pelvic exam, and an ultrasound was performed--which didn't indicate any sign of fibroids or other complications.  However, I am still experiencing the back pain!  I am now interested in being a gestational surrogate for a second time, and I worry that maybe there's something wrong that the doctor's didn't catch that will complicate a pregnancy.  Is there potential for my "enlarged tipped uterus" to cause me difficulties if I were to get pregnant again?  Will this require correction if it continues to cause me pain?
