Pain in throat part two

by tazzythumper, Apr 16, 2007 12:00AM
Ok I put up one before about it being sore too much for normal.Even with gland problems in the past it doesn't seem to be like it is now, hurts way more then normal. Not to mention only seems to flare up in the mornings waking me up out of a dead sleep, I have tried other doctors but they want to do blood tests. Which I can't get done til later, and I am in so much pain i'm like what the heck can I do about it.

Sounds like it could be strep???? Until you can get to a dr you can gargle a 1/2 mouthwash and 1/2 peroxide. Also, try a cool mist humidifier. The more water you can get out in a few hours, the better. Check with the pharmacist and they'll let you know. Don't get an evaporative kind, it doesn't put out much humidity. Take motrin around the clock as prescribed and get your throat swabbed for strep. Good luck to you.
