Pain lower abdomen after TAHBSO

by that1girlsmom, May 22, 2007 12:00AM
I had a TAHBSO 6 weeks ago and have been experiencing pain mainly in my left lower abdomen.  I am fine when I am lying down but once I get up and start moving around, the pain becomes intense.  I did feel a large hard ball and my OBGYN stated that it was liquid that built up beneath my incision and that was causing the pressure and pain and it would go away in time.  The large ball has gotten smaller however I still continue to have pain.  My Dr. believes they may have irritated or hit a nerve when they did the surgery and that I will get better.  I have had SEVERAL MAJOR surgeries in my life, some far more invasive than this, and I have NEVER taken this long to recover and have NEVER had pain after six weeks.  Anybody else have this problem and know what is causing my pain.  I am supposed to return to work in less than a week and do alot of bending, lifting, heavy work in my job.  Will this make things worse for me?
