Pain with intercourse

I occasionally have pain with intercourse and have noticed it again recently. The pain though, is in my abdomen, always on the right side, it is sharp but not terrible, and radiates to my back. I have an IUD (7th year of having one, second year on this iud) and sometimes wonder if it may be related? I also think possibly ovary related. I always used to feel when I would ovulate, but only on the right side (have not noticed ovulation pains since getting IUD). I have no history of gynecological problems, although after c section I developed endometrioma in the scar but no history of endometriosis. Family history of fibroids.
