Painful Lump in back of my head... with Eye Spasms??

by Oldschool305, Jun 20, 2006 12:00AM
Two weeks ago I started having sharp, stabbing pains in my right leg, calf area. I have a varicose vein there, and all of a sudden I am having these throbbing pains there.  Then, 4 days ago my right eye started having uncontrollable spasms.  Then, last night.... I started to have pain in the back of my head, and when I touched it, there was a decent sized lump.  It's in the very back, by my neck... Ok, you know where your neck connects to your skull, and on either side there is natually a lump, well the one on the right is swollen and painful (just took ibuprofen).  Does this sound familiar, what could be causing this?  Should I panic and run to the ER?

If I were you I would get that lump checked out immediately!

The eye spasms can be caused by stress -- I often get them for a few days or weeks at a time, then it goes away.  Are you excersizing more or doing something different - may cause leg pains?

New lumps/bumps should always be checked! If for nothing else than peace of mind!

Good luck

Hi, I am going to the doctor AGAIN today at 2:30 for this same problem.
I have had the doctor watching this painful area on my head for a little over a year now.  It started out as a soft painful spot and now it is a petruding knot/lump.  It is very painful to touch.  (I have been worried sick and am deciding to give it to God to take care of...don't want to be enslaved to living a life in worry.)  Have you found out any info on your situation?  Look forward to hearing from you!
