Painful swelling around and on perineum

by ARJ14, Jul 15, 2006 12:00AM
I am 26 and I just had a daughter 10 months ago.
Since then I’ve been doing well till about one week ago. I’ve noticed that it has become hard to sit on my left side. It almost felt like after my daughter was born and I needed to use the donut. I looked at my genital are the other night and it looked a little swollen starting from perineum and going in to the vaginal area. After I touched it I noticed that it was very hard and I couldn’t tell what shape it was or if it’s something under my skin or inside the vagina. I’ve only been sexually active with my husband so there’s no question if I have STD (we don’t). Today the “lump” seems to hurt more when I sit and I can’t think of what this could be. It has me worried. I also think that it’s getting bigger. I am going to see my OB next week but till then I’m hoping to get an idea of what to expect. Anyone?
