I tend to have more palpitations 2 or 3 days prior to starting my periods. I was told that it was probably related to the hormones and fluid retention during those times. Hope this helps some. I wasn't able to take the beta blockers, bp and hr too low. So, the dr put me on an antidepressant, lexapro, and I don't even notice them. Well, on a rare occasion. Best wishes.
I have seen a cardio-I stated that above- but because they didn't find anything I went to see my OBGYN also. I have worn event monitors, had a stress test and echo-all clear. I just wanted to know if anyone else had this problem during their time of the month.
I would say that you should most likely want to see a cardiologist. Gynos are great in what they do but they do not specialize in other fields of medicine. It sounds like your gyno is on the right track but if this is really bothering you, I would for sure see a cardiologist.
