Paranoid about sexual health..

Hello,

Back on Dec 2 of last yr I had unprotected oral and vaginal sex my ex-boyfriend, during that time he was sick with a cold. About two days later I noticed I came down with a slight sore throat and the next day it was really bad, so that early friday morning I went to the Er because I noticed my tonsils were really swollen with pus spots on them, the doctor diagnosed me with strep throat and gave me 2 penicillin pills that night, I took four the next day that sunday I started to have really bad pelvic pain. My vagina was throbbing red and itchy, so that monday I went to planned parenthood and was diagnosed with a yeast infection after having a pap done, I didn't take the pill they gave me until I was done with the penicillin. Due to me rubbing and scratching I noticed two long paper cut like sores near the hood of my clitoris, once I put some cream on them they went away after two days. After I was done with the penicillin my strep throat was cured, I took the meds for my yeast infection which was nine days after I was diagnosed with it, about a week later I was diagnosed with bv by a dr. After have discharge and a fishy odor down there, I was also test for some stds but not herpes. I haven't had any sexual encounters since the 2nd and I'm wondering if 7weeks past post exposure is to early for igg testing.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Bacterial vaginosis is the most common cause of abnormal vaginal odor and discharge. It is caused by a change in the type of bacteria found in the vagina.
The exact cause for the change in type of bacteria is still not known, but it is can be due to IUD’s,multiple sex partners or having intercourse with a new partner.

In addition to unpleasant "fishy" vaginal odor, thin white or yellowish discharge from vagina may also be present. Diagnosis can be confirmed after pelvic examination and microscopic examination of the vaginal discharge. Treatment is by metronidazole((Flagyl, MetroGel) and clindamycin (Cleocin). They are available as pills or vaginal gels or creams. Please do not use any vaginal douches.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
