Perimenopausal and heavy bleeding

by 4timesmom, Feb 26, 2007 12:00AM
I am 47, I was always regular 28 days exactly, I have 4 children 24,21,17 and 11 years old. (born by c-section)
It started 3 years ago, getting my periods every 19 or 21 days, since last February every 4, 5 or 6 weeks, from november to february 5th 2007, I did not have my period (yeaaaahhh) and I got it again yesterday  so, after 20 days(buuuu), I am having a very heavy bleeding, I have to change tampons (O.B. ultra) every 1/2 hour to an hour, I wanto to know if someone had experience this before.
My yearly medical was perfect, even U/S is good.
I am a personal trainer and today I had to come back from work since I felt so uncomfortable.
Thanks,

Check out the Berman & Berman website.  They have a lot of good info on there about all sorts of woman stuff.

Sorry I couldn't help you.
