Period Every 2 weeks

I had my first child on May 29, 2006. I breastfed for 6 weeks and on the 29th he will be 5mths. I started getting my real period again about 2 months ago. I never had a problems with my period being regular before but I've been getting my period like every 2 weeks instead of once a month. I started a new birth control pill and I was wondering if anyone knew if this was normal or not? Could it be the birth control pills or just my body having to get back to normal or do you think something is wrong? Any advice will help.

Well in my experiance it was just due to the hormones. If you are too worried about it check in with your Dr. Or give it a month or two and see if it goes away. If the bleeding starts to get really heavy then I would check in with your Dr. to make sure everything is ok.

The same thing happend to me after my 3rd child. My Dr. said that it was just my hormones all messed up and they needed time to get themselves back to normal. It took my body about 5 months to get all the hormones back to normal.
I wasn't on the pill though.
Are you bleeding heavy? You want to be careful that you are not losing too much blood. You don't want to get anemic. You might want to give you Dr. a call and see what he thinks.
