Hello. Many thanks for your replies. Im not bleeding heavily. I would say its quite light, although my stomach feels like im due a heavy period. Im 37 now and the reason for why i stopped taking the pill many years ago was because here in the UK there was a health scare with pill i was taking, so i decided to use other form of protection instead. For the last few months my periods have been very scatty, even to the point where i have been coming on upto 4 times a month. I spoke to my GP and was recommended to go back onto the pill to stableStable angina Unstable angina my monthly's but this has seemed to had the opposite effect.
At one point in my life I had periods that were very scatterd too. My Dr. put me on the pill to get them back to normalNormal saline flush. It never worked for me. He said that it could take up to 2 months for it to work. How long have you been on it? You may be one of those, like me, that the pill just won't help. give it a full 2 months and see what happens unless you are really worried, then you should make an app. with your Dr. You may just need to get another brand of pill. Are you having any other side affects? If the bleeding continues then your Dr. may want to do a D&C or a lap. to find out what is going on.
Are you bleeding heavy? If so, then you are losing too much blood. You can either wait it out a month or two(unless you are bleeding heavy - soaking a pad or tampon in a hour) or go back in and see your Dr. You may need to get on a different pill. Bleeding heavy for 2 weeks is not good for you. Keep an eye on it and make sure you don't become anemic.
