Period after hysterectomy

by lemon 714, Jun 01, 2007 12:00AM
Period after hysterectomy.
I had a supracervical laproscopic hysterectomy on April 4 of 2007.  I have been having what I would call a regular menstrual cycle ever since. They are about 22 days apart and last about 5 days. My doctor suggested an endometrial ablation to remedy the problem.  I am worried that this other procedure will harm my bladder or other internal organs.  Is this procedure safe?  What could happen to my bladder or other internal organs?

I'd say discuss your concerns with your doctor, and ask how many he has done on women after supracervica hysts.  As for the risks,  a lot depends on the type of ablation he is considering.  There are several different kinds.
