Period changes

by 13tulips, Oct 12, 2008 07:03PM
At age 47, I have had one child at age 17.  I have always had very good cycles, like clockwork and always had my paps and checkups every six months.  This last month I begin to have some rather large clots during my period, then it begin to last longer and this month I only went two weeks before I had another one.  The spotting in between is a irritating, but I have been wondering why the sudden change in my periods and also if I might be beginning menopause?  I am not currently taking any medications other than Lexapro 20 mg. daily, and occasionally a Lasix and potassium pill prescribed by my doctor for fluid retention.  Should I be concerned or is this just normal?
Thank you.
