Period for 3 months!

Iv been having a period for 3 months straight now and its really getting me down. Its heavy a lot of the time but does die down for a couple of days or so. Iv also been feeling really ill; being tired, lack of energy, lack of appetite, feeling cold when everyones hot. Iv had Thyroid test which is normal and a FBC count which is also normal. Anyone help?!

Not sure what your plans are, but I had a similar problem when I was younger. Basically, they just put me on birth control to regulate out the hormones. It can really drain you to bleed that much for such a long period of time. If you aren't trying to get pregnant, I would definitely talk to them about getting you started on birth control. If you are trying to get pregnant, you may want to talk to your OB GYN about getting you on a regimen of Provera and Clomid. Provera is progesterone, which enduces a period, and Clomid is what helps to release an egg (it will basically stop your period so you can ovulate). Hope that helps!! Good luck, and be persistent with your doctor, they can be hard to work with sometimes!! :)
