Period for 3 weeks now

I have been having my period for 3 weeks now. At first it was just like my normal flow not heavy or too light but now it's changed to very light and the blood is quite red and I sometimes have small clots. I am also on the pill what could be wrong?

Hi.  Well, bleeding more than 7 days is outside normal and constant bleeding with clots for 3 weeks is definitely not normal.  You've started birth control and that can alter our hormones.  This could definitely be impacting your cycle-- may be the wrong pill for you.  Progesterone is well known for causing spotting all cycle long when we have too much.  So, I'd sincerely go back to the doctor that prescribed the birth control pills and discuss this.  If it is not the pill, they'll want to determine what else could be causing this and get it stopped.  Fibroids is another possibility.  Water doesn't do anything for our cycle---  no matter the temp.  :>)  Good luck and let me know what the doctor says.

Girl Im 14 too! I started mine when I was 12 And mine are rough too the cramps bring me to tears and the bleeding varies sometimes heavy sometimes light but I haven't had any head aches but I do have occasionally diarrhea and I feel sick to my stomach like imma throw up too.. but my female doctor said it's normal and I recommend midol or Pamperin to take for cramps and a heating pad will help with it too but it might make you bleed a little heaver.. and I also recommend to not eat so much thanks that have caffeine in it cause that will make you bleed more and don't drink real cold drinks either that's forms blood clots and get some exercise but don't be too active if you can avoid it just stay relaxed and warm baths help too but I recommend showers tho cause the bleeding and always keep some pads and tampons in your book bag or purse I recommend and eat lots of healthy stuff and drink lots of juices abs water but try room temperature water and STAY hydrated and get lots of rest.. and sweetie it's nothing to be embarrassed about it it's life it's all about growing up
