I'm having those same complications and I'm only 19. I had went to the doctor one time and they had me on birth control but it made me sick and it's never been the same

I have had these brown jelly globs. I have always assumed it is old bloody discharge. I think you should ask for a second opinion on the bleeding. Two months is a long time to "spot" and it can indicate something more serious.

I so know the clumps you are talking about and I will tell you not to worry. I first encountered them when I first started my period and it was only coming every 2 months. I asked my doctor about them and she said that it was perfectly normal. It was simple dried blood that had not been expelled during my previous period. So don't be alarmed. It makes sense considering how out of wack your cycle is. Still try and make an appointment with your doctor just to be safe.

hi, Iv had problems too like ears18 i was originally put on cerazette which caused months of bleeding, he then moved me onto femodette which made no difference. I then was moved onto Cilest which stopped my bleeding almost straight away and it was fine for nearly a whole month. When my period eventually came it was heavy but i guessed it was because i was having my first proper period for ages. After my 7 day break i continued as normal but had to take some antibiotics. They stop ur pill working for 7 days so i was careful over this time. After the 5th day of taking them i noticed brown jelly stuff like the stuff ears18 mentioned. This contined up till my next 7 day break (3weeks!) which is now (period is very light).I just wondered if any one out there has experienced any thing like this and would share it with me. Im goin out of my mind with all this unexplainable things happening to me! much appreciated

One miscarriage does not mean another will happen.  Brown blood is old blood, and it is probably mixing with normal vaginal secretions to give you that jelly appearance.  It doesn't sound like anything really major, just let your midwife know if it turns bright red.

Hi

I am new to this site.  I suffered a miscarriage last year and I am now 7 weeks pregnant.  Two weeks ago I had a scan and was told I had a bleed to the side of the gestational sac.  I had another scan yesterday and the bleed had gone and everything looks great heartbeat etc.  They only thing I have now started to get brownish jelly like discharge first thing in the morning and last thing at night.  The midwife has said that this maybe old blood coming out.  Has only one else had this??  I'm really worried cause of my miscarriage last year I was 11 weeks pregnant and the baby had died at 9 weeks although I had been bleeding for aboyt 5 weeks before that.  Please help???????

Im not sure what these clump things are .. other than pretty nasty!!  They arnt like usual blood clots.  My period is so light just a panty liner would last nearly all day.  Except for these lumps that keep coming every couple of hours.  They consist of mainly like a sticky, stringy discharge and are brown in colour.  Im quite worried, surely it cant be normal, ive never experienced this before.

Sounds kind of like clots to me. Please talk to an older women you trust, and get a second opinion from another doc. God bless!

Could these "clumps" be blood clots?  I sometimes have blood clots when I was on bcp and had AF.  Tell you doctor, and especially tell your mom.  She's a woman too and she understands women problems.

I would try to get a second opinion if I were you. You could becoming anemic. I had somewhat the same problem a few years a go. Turned out I had fibroids, which are usually harmless in themselves, but can cause LOTS of problems, usually bleeding, irregular periods etc.... I also had a couple of polyps, which are also harmless usually. Those actually caused most of the bleeding. My doc, performed a D & C and cleared it all out, then put me on the pill. I suffered too long, 2 years of bleeding 2 months at a time, off and on, there's no need to have to suffer like that. I have now been off the pill, because I'm trying to concieve, and my periods are normal. You may just need to clear it all out surgically and start from there. Talk to your mom, she may be more understanding than you think, she's a woman, she'll understand. If you REALLY feel like you can't is there an aunt or older lady friend that you can trust? Asking another woman might help with more ideas of what to do, or maybe finding another doctor, maybe they have one that would be more helpful, you know? God bless and please let us know what happens!

Ps .. I havent been taking Cilest pill for 1 full cycle yet .. got another couple of days to go.  My doctor told me to take 3 packs back to back.  I know this is safe although shouldnt be done often .. just would have thought if id have my 7 day break it might clear it all out and my periods get back to normal?  Im going to go back and see the doctor on my last pill of the pack, im going to make an appointment .. should i suggest having my 7day break?  I will stick with it as i dont want to come off the pill as my normal periods used to be all over the place and its nice to know i always have a backup contraceptive.. HELP!!!
