Starting at the beginning - I started my period later than most young womenWomen's way at age 17 I am now 21, I wasn't under developed but I was athletically slim. After this initial 'starting' they were really irregular, having months in between each one, counting possibly only 5 periods before I was 19. So I went to see the Uni doctor who suggested I see a Gynecologist, which I did, I was diagnosed as having one mildly polycistic ovary (when i say mild - i mean the cists were small and few) so they put me on MetforminMetformin Metformin hydrochloride Metformin hydrochloride er Metformin-glipizide Metformin-glyburide Metformin-pioglitazone Metformin-repaglinide Metformin-rosiglitazone Metformin-sitagliptin to regulate my periods, which worked but I was then moved onto the pill for contraceptive reasons as well as keeping the irregular period problem at bay. All was well, my periods were regularRegular insulin and I felt in myself a lot more 'normalNormal saline flush' and feminine, however then I started to get migraines, and so they switched me to another pill and then another, but again the migraines reoccurred, more frequently and more severe, in one month I recorded 14 migraines. So I was taken off of the pill altogether. The migraines have stopped but alas no period now for over four months, I feel right back to square one. I have terrible PMSPremenstrual syndrome Relieving pms, am tired, emotional, bloated and spotty. I feel anxious, depressed and often woozy. I feel really 'abnormal' and just want my body to work properly. I don't know what to do next. Any ideas? thoughts?
Don't worry, you are not alone. I have never had very regularRegular insulin periods and I haven't been diagnosed with any sort of problem...yet. I also have two friends that have polycistic ovary syndrome. One of them is on BC to help regulate herself and another one went off just recently, in her 30's, and she's regular for the first time in her life. I know it's not much help, but at least you know it happens to a lot of other women. I have heard that Agnus castus (AKA Vitex) has been used for ages to help women regulate their cycles. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm going buy some this week. I hope things get better for you. hang in there.
