I am 37 years old and had a tubal ligation in 1992. My menstrual cycle stopped. My last cycle was January 4th. Before this i have never missed or been late for a cycle. My cycle is every 21 days lasting 5 days. I took a home pregnancy test a few weeks ago and it came back negative, i have called and scheduled an appointment with my ob/gyn, but they scheduled it for the end of March. I just wanted to know what might possibly be causing this, and if i should try to get him to move up my appointment. Also, other than no periods, i have absolutely no known health problems, no diet changes, no stress, and no lifestyle changes.

because we're getting close to the "magic age". (I'm 47 and had
my tubes tied nearly 6 years). Your best bet is to ask your
doctor or GYN and see what he/she thinks. He/she might want
you to come in for some tests to just to make sure everything
