Periods

by Manchester1234, Dec 10, 2007 11:47AM
I have been taking the pill for around 9 months now, and me and my partner use  protection all the time so i decided to stop taking the pill a week ago. Everything was fine until sunday i had sex with my boyfriend and then started bleeding after. I dont know if its because i havent been taking the pill and has messed my cycle up or if theres something wrong?

I think you might be right about your cycles getting a bit "messed up" by stopping the pill, especially if you stopped in the middle of a pack. The pills contain hormones to keep you from getting pregnant, so when you stop taking them, it can lead to bleeding.
