Plan B Spotting before Period

Hi there
So my b/f and I had unprotected sex on May 31. He pulled out but I started worrying so I took Plan B the next day.
I took the first pill within 24 hours and the second 12 hours later.

On june 9 i woke up and it seemed like I had started my period. It was really dark red and brown and kind of heavy. However I didnt need a tampon for the whole day. And now I only bleed when i wipe and it goes back and forth between dark brown or bright red.
I shouldn't have actually started my period until around the 21st of June.  I'm wondering if this is just a side effect that plan b has or if I should be worried.

I know this is an old post, but I wanted to reply because there may be other women out there that have googled "spotting before perion after Plan B" as I did. I NEVER spot before my period so I was convinced it had to be implantation bleeding when I started spotting scant amounts of light brown discharge 3 days before my period. I took Plan B after a condom broke during sex on my peak ovulation day. Pregnancy test was negative, but I thought it was too early.

My period came on time, exactly 28 days after the last one. I guess the spotting was either due to Plan B, or it was something new that I can expect to happen now.

Hope this provides some comfort to anyone reading this who is worried that spotting may be implantation bleeding.
