Planning for Pregnancy - How to know when ovulate?

I have just weaning by baby boy (18 mths old)completely about 3 weeks ago.  Prior to that, due to the nursing, my menses cycle has been very irregular.
My last menses is on 22 Feb 06 and has done a yearly pap smear on 4 Mar.  I have expressed my intention to plan for 2nd baby.  According to the Dr, I got to wean off inorder to get pregnant as nursing is suppresing my ovulation and at the scan, he mentioned there are eggs in my ovaries.  The problem, is that im unable to know my ovulation date, since the menses before my last one is about 50 over days apart.  I heard, u can check on cervical mucus in order to determine the fertility and ovulation period.  Recently, i noticed some sticky mucus.  My question is how to determine from the duration from the mucus to the actual ovulation.  Anyone can advice?  Thanks

Hello,
I use www.mymonthlycycles.com / there is a tracker that allows you to enter in your cycle each month and it will actually allow you to view a calendar showing you your ovulation days based on the dates your mensus falls. It states that it may not be accurate, however it worked for me (I lost tthe baby due to fibroids witin my uterus however). This site has other informatin info on womens health..

Ditto on Manda Jo's comments.  Get a copy of that book.  You won't have one question left after reading that book.

There is a great book out there called Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler.  When I was TTC, I got it, and it helped a lot.  It explains everything in depth.

Good luck to you!!
