Your Vitamin B12, Vitamin D3 and magnesium levels may be off. You can get blood tests and buy supplements. I noticed a small difference after a few weeks, then more improvement. I still have symptoms now, but hoping continued supplementation will remedy that.
I have not had a hysterectomy yet, but I was anemic (needed a blood transfusion) and Vitamin D deficient. Extreme blood loss due to heavy periods and Adenomyosis in my uterus caused issues.
I have insomnia, anxiety, muscle weakness, headaches, vision issues, etc. waking up with a jolt was awful. I've taken over the counter supplements for 13 weeks and symptoms are improving. I raised my vitamin D3 to a good level. I don't know about the iron yet.
I also added B12 and methyl folate because I've had internal tremors for years.
I'm sorry you had a bad night. I have things like hot flashes and periodic insomnia now. Dang, it stinks. And I have absolutely noticed a hormonal uptick in anxiety that is cyclic where it is hard to quiet my mind and especially at night. I would again, follow up with your ob/gyn. I think that when we take our health seriously and our doctors aren't, it's time to find another doctor. Because if it DOES turn out to be anxiety, a good doctor will try to help you with that too. good luck hon and I'm here if you need an ear.
Hi there. Sorry you are having this issue! A partial hysterectomy can sure wreak havoc on our bodies-- effectively throwing you very quickly into menopause.
If you don't like the answer your gp gave you, go for a second opinion. Or better, talk to your ob/gyn about this. I WILL say that anxiety can indeed cause many different symptoms that you wouldn't think were associated. I've had eye twitching-- stress and anxiety.
So, I would talk to your ob/gyn. Be open to whatever they say. If you hear from a couple of different doctors that it is anxiety related, then that is something to consider. But perhaps a specialist like ob/gyn would be able to tell if it is hormonally related or if you need further investigation as to why this is happening when your GP blew you off.
Do not search the internet. That is a one way ticket to panic and often has very little to do with our own situation. It can be inaccurate information and when we leave the info up to our own interpretation as non doctors, then we really aren't helping ourselves and just scaring ourselves.
good luck and schedule with your ob/gyn. Let me know what they say!
