Please reply quick. Breast tenderness and possible pregnancy?

Hiya,

I'm new to this, I'm seeking some much valued advice/help.

3 1/2 weeks ago I accidently messed up my birth control pills. I extended my 7 pill free day by one day as I didn't take the last pill in the packet. I then missed one a week later. I am due for my period one week from now.
8 days ago experienced very painful nipples for about 4 days which then developed into very tender breasts (mainly on the outer side).
I went to the doctor 5 days ago. She said my breasts were 'engorged' (does this mean suspected pregnancy in the medical world?) and to take a pregnancy test in 10 days.

I have had cramps for two days, which feel like period pain two weeks before my period, and had a brown discharge after intercourse with my partner. I also had heart palpitations last week which my doctor suggested may be due to stress. I also discovered some rather lovely dry, elasticy discharge the day after intercourse. (Sorry if thats tmi)

I took a pregnancy test one day ago ( I know this is too early but I couldn't resist) which came back negative.

I have about another 8 days before I can take a test that will show reliable results and I would like to know asap. The thing that is really playing on my mind is what my doctor said about my breasts being 'engorged'. I know I should have asked what she meant but my mind was a bit blank to be honest.

Thank you in advance.x

I am aware of the engorgement thing, which is why I dont understand why the Doctor would say they're engorged when I am obviously not breast feeding.

Thank you for your reply anyway. x

if your missed your pills almost 3 1/2 weeks ago....and are due for your period in a week.... you missed your pills around the time of your last period when you would not have been ovulating.

you tested wayy to early and are not going to start feeling pregnancy symptoms untill around the time your periods due or missed. your periods due in a week....meaning you were like what like ovulated a week ago?

the word engorged does not mean  suspected pregnancy. breast become engorged after pregnancy when the your milk supply comes in. it hurts like anything. your beast are swollen and you start leaking constantly..but it corrects itself soon.

your not talking your pills correctly..and because of that it can really effect your body....my gues is what your feeling is because your homrones are outta wack by messing up your pills. you missed your pills 3 1/2 weeks ago...around the time of your last period when you were not ovulating...and are not due for your period for another week and would not be feeling all of these signs of pregnancy. its too early and would be too soon after conception.

wait a week...and test again. chances are you bodys going to be thrown off by you messing up your pills
