Possibly pregnant?

by Samantha15, Aug 03, 2007 06:33PM
Um.
Im fairly young. And quite new to alot of things.

My last period was June 29'ish.

Me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex July 9th, quite late in the day...

Normally for me, my period would come a week earlier than the last month. ((EX: Starts: Jan 5  Ends: Jan 9-10    next month  Starts: Feb 1   Ends: Feb 5-6))

We suspected pregnancy recently due to my period being late. Since it should have came around July 25 - Aug 1st'ish.

Since it didnt come i was going to look into get a pregnancy test. But for someone my age....its not easy with parents. And im still at this point not going to tell my parents until im fairly certain if i am pregnant or not.

But just this morning...my period started... but now its over.... and there was barely any blood. Not a normal amount since usually theres quite a bit on the first day.

Is it possible that i really could be pregnant?..perhaps this isnt really my period?

Yes you could still be pregnant.  Some women will have light bleeding when they are first pregnant and some even think it is a period just lighter.  If you don't want to tell your parents until you know for sure, you should go to a planned parenthood for a test, or buy a test, if money is tight go to a dollar store and buy one.  You can take the test in a store bathroom if you have too. And it should be first urine of the day.  If you are pregnant you need to let your parents know, and if you are not wanting to get pregnant you need to use condoms and/or birth control.

You know, it's normal for a period to be a lil delayed sometimes, especially if you're under a lot of stress, in your case, because you don't want to be pregnant, I'm sure it's stressing you out.  Are you on the pill? Or are you taking any kink of birth control? I don't want to sound like your parents...   :)  but, if you're going to have sex, you really should go see a doctor to have something prescribed for you. Then, you wouldn't have to worry every month about being pregnant. Plus, the pill gives you regular cycles.. ex. 28 day cycles every months.  Another thing, you should ALWAYS make your boyfriend wear condoms because the pill won't protect you from sexually transmitted diseases (STD).  I hope everything will go well for you.  :)

Hmn. Im not so worried about telling my mom. Im sure i will once i figure it all out.

And....><   but anyway....after looking it up..i found out i was VERY wrong...

There was a little more blood now....but very little.....

As far as stress goes... =/  Im always seriously stressed....and my period always come a week earlier each time...

Wish i actually had the pills or something...but im just scared of talking to my parents i guess.... Im 15 btw. And it was my first time having sex.. =/

Hrm. Dont feel like typeing it again.

Recently ive been really tired..actually sleeping alot during the day  =/

I suppose my main question was is it still possible that i could be.....

I have a friend and my sister both looking into trying to get me a pregnancy test.. i was just kindof worried.

Will report back after a test. =]

Actually. Im going to see my friends this wednesday..and if they dont have a test for me by then i figure i will have to tell my mom....

=/   And of course i know the unprotected sex wasnt smart >< wont happen again...

it is possible you're pregnant, the only way to know is to take a test. knowledge is power, and you'll be able to make a plan (for dealing with pregnancy, telling your mom, getting birth control, and staying healthy, whatever the situation is) once you know.

ok.... heres what you need to do.... Call "Planned Parenthood".... they'll give you a free test and its totally confidential..... if your not pregnant they can get you birth control pills for up to a year... generally for free or at least close to free....... and again totally confidential

Dont second guess yourself. Dont assume your mother will not understand. We were all 15 once. I was 15 the first time I got pregnant. I told my mom and dad at the same time. Believe me, my dad is the kind to go off at the smallest thing. They were concerned, they had questions, they took the proper steps to make sure I was ok. Mom took me to an OBGYN. They were not excited to here I was pregnant, but they were supportive. Everyones situation is different. I did marry the babys father, and 22 years later, we are still married, and i did finish highschool and I did go to college, still working on my bachelors today. Samantha if you were my daughter, i would want you to come to me for anything, you need support and thats why we are here. Good luck to you. Give your mom some credit, she loves you and she will want to help.
