Preg after correct condom use

hie guys ,i was wondering if anybody ever got pregnant after using a condom correctly, and does anyone have an explanation on how it could possibly happen.I had protected sex with my boyfriend and i was preety sure the condom had stayed intact although we had sex in the dark ,however after approx two weeks i became feeling unwell and my family doc suggested that i take a preg test, which i took a few days after and it was positive i couldnt believe it so i took another one and was still positive,i talked to my boyfriend about it and he started laughing and said there was no way that i could be pregnant since everytym he removed the condom h felt it stil covering the shaft.he has since stopped talking to me because he feels like i am lying or trying to give him someone elses baby and i am left to pick up the pieces on my own,i am scared and hurt because i know he is the only man that i have been intimate with for a long time now.i am so depressed and failing to understand what really happened ,can anybody shed light on this issue ..thank you in advance

Pregnancy is scary for many teenagers & I believe your boyfriend got scary about the situation. Hearing this news is overwhelming. I think you need to keep trying to talk to him about this sudden news until he completely understands. Good luck and be patience for your health and sanity!

Hi there.  Condoms have a fail rate of about 12 percent.  I'm sorry your boyfriend is being a jerk.  The only way to prevent pregnancy 100 percent is to not have sex.  If someone doesn't leave enough room at the tip of a condom, for example, for semen, this can cause an issue in which a condom can fail.  If your boyfriend keeps suggesting to you that it isn't his baby, let him know he can take a DNA test if he likes.  That's very hurtful and I'm sorry he is acting that way.  He doesn't sound super thrilled to be becoming a dad so get a good plan together on how to handle everything.  We have great pregnancy forums here at Medhelp.  Good luck hon
