technically, i think either scenario can cause the spotting and slight cramping. but if you properly used condoms, chances are you're not pregnant and it's from switching pills. i wouldn't worry about it yet. i also wouldn't worry if your period doesn't come the exact same day as it always did, because your body respond differently to a different pill. (however, i guess if you're over paranoid about these things like most of us are, you can take a test to ease your mind).
