I wish I could be there for you! I see everything you have described in my own daughter and it makes me so sad that you are going thru this. And alone! Please call your mom. I know you are a grown independent woman, but sometimes we just need our moms, no matter how old we are.
And please find a new doctor. The one you are using sounds like a real putz! You pay to be a priority. If he is on vacation, he can thank YOU for that! ARGH!! Makes me so mad. And after you have a new doc and ALL your records in the hands of the new doc, then call the other one up and FIRE his butt!! This will serve to remind him that he works FOR his patient's instead of doing his patient's some sort of "FAVOR".. Sorry, it just makes me SO mad that not only do you have to go thru the physical anguish, but insult is added by the treatment of the people that are supposed to be taking care of you.
Go pick up the phone, dial your mom, and let her know what is going on. The strongest people know just when to ask for help.
It's time.

Not sure how long you have been on Yasmin or other oral birth control..So it's hard to answer your concerns. And have you had sex with only the protection of the Yasmin? Did you miss any pills?
My daughter was on Yasmin for about six months to try to regulate periods and had a lot of breakthru bleeding, which we do not attribute to the Yasmin but they did help her acne though..
If you have been taking the Yasmin for less than 3 months, then it is probably just your body trying to adjust. My OB/GYN says that it can take about 3 months for the pills to straighten things out so to speak. Breakthru bleeding is very common when using OBC. And the irrregularity of your periods is probably just another side affect of the Yasmin. You don't have to wait until Dec.22 to get answers. Call your doc's office that gave you the Yasmin and speak to the nurse. IF she thinks it is cause for concern, she will get with the doctor and make changes, via the telephone. Maybe call you in a different script, or maybe just reassure you that this is normal. Two negative HPT's and being on BC, I highly doubt that you are pregnant. I call my daughters' doctor all the time and they do a lot with us over the phone, helping to avoid co-pay after co-pay. So give them a call, and I hope you get the reassurance you need. Good Luck!

For three years my daughter has been treated for "Excessive Menstruation". Since she was 13 and started her periods..Well they just didn't stop. She has been on every pill under the sun and had more tests than I can count. Her doc was just treating the symptoms for the longest time and finally I said enough is enough. They thought it would "straighten up" on it's own and said her body just didn't know what it was doing and wasn't ovulating. They can no longer use these excuses. So they are now throwing their hands up after trying to find the cause of the problem with no answers. They tried doing a sonohystogram on her but it didn't happen sue to the pain it was causeing her. So now I am scheduled to take her to the Cleveland Clinic and hopefully will find out and be able to treat whatever is causing this. My point being, that no matter how qualified and reputable your doc may be, sometimes they just get stumpped. And then some refuse to admit that and just ignore the problem. Treat the symptoms etc.. I HIGHLY suggest that you seek another opinion. Don't know where you are, but perhaps there is a teaching hospital that isn't too far of a drive. Sounds like you are in the same boat as my daughter, and yeah having the symptoms treated (if they can) is terrific, but you still NEED to know what the heck is causing them in the first place. Have you been tested for bleeding disorders such as Von Willebrans (sp) Disease. It is treatable but it can cause women to bleed excessively during AF, while having dental work etc.. Ask that all the appropriate blood work be done to rule out such things as bleeding disorders, Thyroid problems, Anemia, etc.. If they don't find the tests necessary, then that should be a BIG RED FLAG for you to find someone that is interested in diagnosing you, and not just treating you.
I will be updating after Sarah's appt. on the 28th of Dec. and maybe I will have more info for you then.
Best of luck!

Well I called the Doctor and they just blew me off... I tried telling the lady on the phone my problem and she put me on hold really quick... And came back and said your doc won't be in until this Thursday
Well i've been on birth control for probably about 6 years... I just recently switched to Yasim.. because I was having trouble with ortho tricyclen.. I would be on my period for almost a whole month... and I was having bad cramps... after ultrasounds and many visits to the doctor she just switched my pills.. I've been on yasim for 4 months now... and everything was normal until last month... I guess it could be the new birth control... I don't know... I don't take the pill at the same time everyday and I could have maybe missed a pill... it's not like me but I remember I did forget one night and I took it as soon as I woke up the next day... Yes I've been having sex with Yasim being my only method of birth control... It's so fustrating... The first time I went because I wouldn't stop bleeding and they said I could have a cyst rupture and said they couldn't tell if it was.. then the next month the same thing happened...and they didn't really do anything all at... I dont know if it's a normal thing for the doc to just excuse that kinda thing... or if I should maybe go to a different doctor.. but I feel that the doctors I go to (it's a group) are very good.. probably the best in the area.. But I've been having nothing but problems for about 6 months.. and I don't know what else to do..
