Prescription Interactions

by PLD2009, May 19, 2009 01:22PM
I am taking the following prescriptions:
Fluoxetine 20mg, Levothyroxine .05 mg, Nexium 40mg, Minocycline 50 mg and Levora .15/30
I want to start a diet pill while taking these medications.  The name of the diet pill is Lipovox.
Can you tell me if any or all of these medications would cause side effects?  I have feelings of nausea and was wondering if the combination of all these meds would cause that.  Also, is it safe to take the diet pill with the prescribed meds?
Thank you.

Only your doctor can tell you if it is safe for you to take diet pills. Most of the brands of diet pills say on the container to consult with a physician before you take it. Diet pills have side effects themselves, you shouldn't take them without being checked out by a doctor, and the doctor may be able to recommend a diet pill that would better suit you.
