Profuse sweating

Ladies, let me start by saying, I'm so glad I found you.  I have just spent hours searcing for something .. anything that can help me understand why I sweat 24/7.  When I get out of a cold shower I start to sweat standing in front of a fan while drying off.  This is JUST WRONG!  I know there are no answers here ..  but I am so glad to know I'm not the only one this is happening to.  I am 54 yr's old and over weight by 80 pounds.  My problem started approximately 11 years ago when I broke my ankle.  While I was recupping from that surgery the sweating started [and it has NEVER stopped].  It's only gotten worse. I retired from an extremely stressful job 2 yr';s ago and thought this would help.  It didn't.  I'm calmer but still sweating.  I can't do anything without having to stop, rest and get a cold towel for my 'extremely' red face [which feels like it's going to explode].  With all this sweating I should have lost a LOT of weight. I can't go anywhere because it's always to hot for me.  I am only comfortable when air is blowing directly on my skin. Movie theaters are good because they're always cold [for everyone else].  My poor husband [and everyone else who enters my house] freezes because the a/c is set at 72 degrees.   Have been to countless doctors with no luck. I will continue my quest to find an answer,  If this happens I will share the news and hope you do the same.  It's summer in Texas so I won't be venturing out until late October.

You might have a hyperthyroid. I have a hypothyroid and was "always sweating" when I was on too much meds. Apparently it is a symptom of a hyperthyroid. I'd get it checked out. You can tell your primary care doctor and ask him to check your thyroid.
Good luck!

you might be in menopause. If not you can get botox injected into the areas that you sweat and that should stop it
