Prolonged period,and im birth control

i had unprotected sex, the day after i took the day after pill and started birth control.2 days after the sex i started my period. now my period has been going on for 11 days. usually its only 5. a friend said i could have cervical cancer or HPV? whats wrong with me?

So, you started taking the pill when? Birth control can screw with your system when you first start it. I would call your gyno to see if you should switch pills. Did you have a pap smear when you got the birth control from your gyno? That checks for cervical cancer and can show abnormalities if HPV is present. I highly, highly doubt that you have cervical cancer. Now, HPV and other STDs you can get from unprotected sex so I suggest you get tested for STDs.
