Prometrium and Early Pregnancy...

Hello ladies...

I just found out that I'm about 4-5 weeks preg.  However, 2 mons. ago I miscarried due to very low progesterone levels. The embryo was normal, but the placenta didn't latch on and I miscarried. I got labwork done 2day and my progesterone levels were 27.4 which is pretty good,  but my dr. went on ahead and prescribed me Prometrium 200mg capsules, for a progesterone supplement to take for about the next 6-8 weeks or so..  However, let me know what you all think about this?

Interesting I am taking Prometrium as well to regulate my period and try and get pregnant.  My OBGYN told me I could pick a day like the first of the month or even the 15th of the month and start taking Prometrium.  Which ever was easy to remember.  What I don't know are the best times to have sex to try and get pregnant.

I don't even know if I ovulate!

I am wanting to get pregnant to!

I am suppose to start taking prometrium today but i am really confused.  I haven't had a regular cycle in over a year.  I had my period two weeks ago and the past few days my nipples are sore and I am hurting in the right lower side of my stomach.  It is almost like I am PMSing but shouldn't start for another two weeks.  Why am I feeling this way?  Could I be pregnant?  I was given a progesterone shot last month to have a period so did I really even ovulate?  Or could I be actually ovulating now?  Help?  I am depressed about this whole TTC thing.

I just had ovarian drilling at the end of June, and am on my second month of taking prometrium.

I took it about two years ago, but I don't remember what day of taking the pills my period starting on.

can anyone tell me what day they started or if anyone knows the usual day or does it vary by person.

Also has anyone gotten pregnant while taking it, that is my goal.

Hi..I am curious if anyone knows about Prometrium...I just found out that I am pregnant...I am now about 5 weeks....I found out right at 4 weeks....Spotted lightly for about 3 days..This is my second pregnancy...I have a healthy 4 year old son ...When I became pregnant with him I also spotted but only for a day and  was never put on any medication...I have been on Prometrium for a week now and had blood work done today to check levels....Does this mean I have or will miscarry? I have been so emotional lately I don't know what to think...All these websites say you should not take while pregnant???Any info???

I completely understand what your going through, I lost my son at delivery had two tubals and than 5 miscarriages, and I eventually found out i was miscarrying because my progesterone level was only like .7, with my baby girl who is now 10 months old i took prometrium for the first four months of my pregnancy its the only reason i carried her full term.  DOnt be afraid to try again, unless a doctor advises you not to, cause my little girl is the best blessing ever.

I had taken prometrium due to my low progesterone levels too.  It was only a week after my insemination so they didn't know if I was pregnant but put me on it anyway.  I wasn't pregnant but I got my period a week late from the higher level of progesterone.  I have heard that people take it all of the time in their first few weeks of pregnancy.  Sometimes up to the 1st 16 weeks.  It did help my levels rise.  Good luck.
