Question About Period- Please use as open forum as well

Not really a question just wondering what is going on.. I got my period on January 25th and it was not due until Jan 31st.. On the 25th it was a very light flow started picking up around nite time, Friday was  a regular period heavy enough at least to soil a pad or 2 by Saturday nite it was gone, came back friday for a minute enough to out a brown spot on my pad and it is done this everyday since but that is it. I have not had enough flow any of these days to have to change my pad of course i do but it has always been brown i should mention that me and Dh are trying to concieve but have not had any luck... No preggo symptoms  I have a DS who just turned 4 yesterday. Any Idea's of what could be going on
