Question about Monistat 7 day kit

I'm pretty sure that what i have is a yeast infection...I have all the symptoms, the discharge, swelling, and itching (especially after going to the bathroom then wiping). So, i bought one of those 7 day monistat kits. I have been using it for 2 nights now, and the itching has definetly gone down,  but the swelling still seems to be pretty bad. I didn't go to the doctor about this, and have never been diagnosed with a YI before...so my question is...do you think it is safe for me to be using the monistat cream even though i'm not sure if what i have is a YI( i have been reading that it might cause a problem). And, does what i describe sound like a YI or could it be something else, also lol sorry...how long does it usually take for the symptoms of a YI to go away when using the monistat kit?? Thanks in advance for your time and input!

If the itching is responding to the Monistat 7, then it probably is a yeast infection.  It is recommended to use the whole 7 day treatment to eradicate the infection.  So I'm sure all other symptoms will subside soon.  FYI: If it returns shortly after, I would go to the doctor b4 self treating, for proper diagnosis.  It's too late to diagnose this one since you already began treatment.

well, you really should have gone to the dr. w/these symptoms to get your first diagnosis just to be 100% even though it really does sound like a YI.
continue using the cream for all 7 days (even if it seems better, dont stop) and then see how it is. if symptoms are still present, then call your dr. because chances are it wasnt a YI if so.
i am sure it is though.
