Question about baby turning

I am 31 weeks pregnant and everything seems to be going great.  I went to the doctor last week and they did an ultrasound.  The baby has already turned with her head down.  My question is that if she has already turned does that mean that she might be early or is it normal for them to turn during this time in the pregnancy.  This is my first and so I am clueless about this.  Just curious!

They can twist and turn so much and quite often at this point. Both my boys did flip flops up to the very end. I wouldn't stress too much about going early unless the doc has shown concern.

Hi

No dont worry thats definately not an indication of being early. Just like Andi said some babies dont settle until the time they decided to be born! With mine they turned down quite early, I think from about the same time as u and just stayed there and my eldest was born at 39 weeks so nothing to worry about! Just be ready for your belly to do the mexican wave if she decides to turn back, LOL

At this point your baby still has room to move so just because baby was head down at last u/s, doesn't mean baby's assumed a position yet nor does it have anything to do with going early.

My little boy was head done then bottom down then laying across untill the a couple of weeks before i had him by which time he was head down,he still doesn't keep still now(he's 2 and a half) I think while there is room they will wriggle about as much as they can. I noticed it's your first baby and your going to love it even labour because no matter what you go through at the end of it your going to have a beutiful baby to hold in your arms and love forever,

Cady turned around then too... She drops more and more every week. It dosnt mean the baby is coming early, just getting ready.
When she first turned and droped I couldnt stand up very long and was in alot of pain between my legs. Sometimes I'd get contractions because she would put stress on my uterus.
But all that is normal, you will soon experience it.
I am now due next Sat.. I am sooooo over being pregnant! lol, have you reached that point yet?!
She weighs 6 pounds 11 ounces and is 18 inches long... She's soooo itty bitty compared to her parents! I hope she grows and gains alot more in this upcoming week.
My boobs are also super duper tender and seem to be filling up.
So much changes from where you are now and 2 months from now. Just drink lots and lots of water... Cankels are NO FUN! :-)~
... If you want a massage, get one done asap because I missed my appointment and they dont do it after 36 weeks. :-( Bummed!
Anyway, have fun and take as many pictures as you can, beause your little one is only in there for a short time.
:-D
